Contest Winners

Carmen High School South (Mr. L,10th grade) and East New York Family Academy (Ms. N, 12th grade) are the winners of our Setting Culture in the Classroom contest for September. They will be receiving a classroom set of headphones.

Here is a short description of what they are doing to set up a positive, learning culture in their classrooms:

“I have one-on-one check-ins with students each week to discuss their grades, affirm my belief in their abilities, and celebrate their growth. We also go outside once a week for demonstrating focus during our Roadmaps time.”

“I'm implementing Building Thinking Classrooms techniques in my classes to set up a positive learning culture. These techniques are based on a book by Peter Liljedahl, a math education researcher in Canada. My students work on an activity called Four 4's, which is a math thinking task to foster thinking, perseverance, problem-solving, and team collaboration.”

Feature Highlights

Is your school a Clever user? If so keep reading to learn about the most recent Clever Sync news.

Good news! Clever Sync is now fully integrated with Teach to One Roadmaps. This means that your school can automatically synchronize student information and rosters directly from your Student Information System (SIS) to Roadmaps using Clever Sync capabilities.

What does this mean for you as a Clever user?

  • Simplified Enrollment: No more manual data entry. Students will be automatically added to Roadmaps as they are enrolled or disenrolled in your SIS.
  • Real-time Roster Updates: Any changes to student rosters in your SIS will be reflected in Roadmaps, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Enhanced Security: Clever's SSO provides a secure and convenient way for students to access Roadmaps without needing to remember multiple login credentials.

Start benefiting from Clever Sync today! If you're interested in setting up Clever Sync, please fill out this form, and the support team will follow up with the next steps.

In September, our team attended the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the largest gathering of teachers of mathematics during the year. The national event pulls not only across the US but also international educators and collegiate professors as well. With over 6000 attendees, we were able to chat with hundreds of teachers, gain insights into what curricula and intervention support schools are using across the country, and what additional support tools are still needed in schools. We also ran into some of our amazing partners!
